first day of training, over and done with. i trained with scott, the busser, and james, the food runner. basically, i hauled iced, glasses, and dishes, bussed tables, ran up and down the stairs approximately 20,000 times, and got really sweaty. but the restaurant bought me lunch at the end (only for trainees) and i had really yummy pork loin with pumpkin risotto. yyyuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmyyyyyyyy....

i'm wiped. when i got back to the lab, jared says "you look like you either want to collapse or take a nap." yes, that is indeed how i feel. though i would say collapse into a tub of bubbles AND take a nap. but whatever. "why don't you go home?" asks jared helpfully.

"because i don't have a home."

he looks at me. "oh yeah." ... "i don't know what to say to that. that sucks."

indeed. that does indeed suck. in fact, not only do i not have a home, but i can't even go to my temporary home (karl's brother's house) because i don't have a key and karl's got to work late. sigh.

aiiight. i'm done whining. got to find the sound files i need to analyze. dunno where the research assistant put them.
