been there done that my car was broken into AGAIN. if you're following along in the tale of the borogoves, this is the 4th time in the last year my car has been broken into, in addition to the one time as my last apartment and twice in dela-where. the first time in this current apartment, the rear passenger triangle window was broken and a cordless drill was stolen from the trunk, which they got into by popping it from inside the car. since then i've locked the trunk-popper thingy and the next two times the car was broken into the trunk was untouched. not that i was keeping anything of value in it anymore, of course. but this time, THIS time, not only did they break the usual rear triangle window* but they stole the faceplate off my stereo (not the whole thing, just the faceplate, which hey, thieves, doesn't actually play music ya dumbasses), pried open the trunk, breaking it in the process so that now it doesn't actually latch closed and is just bouncing uselessly open thank god it's not raining, and stole the 10-disc cd changer from the trunk. luckily the actual cd's were in the house.

*hey hooligans, next time you break in to my car, wouldja mind breaking a different window? it's just that every time you break in, you use the same window, which means that it gets replaced over and over while the other window glass just gets older and older and older. actually, i could use a new windshield, so next time, would you please break that? thanks.

as i was cleaning the rest of the stuff out of the trunk, the woman who lives on the 2nd floor of my building said "they did this to you, too?" oh dear. and as i left for school, i noticed that the first-floor occupant's car has the rear passenger window broken too. sigh...
