intelligence failures |

as i read of david kay's public comments that he doesn't think iraq had wmd even before the war and colin powell's admission that he doesn't think so either, i had the following thoughts: 1. intelligence seems to have been waaay wrong on the wmd issue. 2. as much as i hate bush, and think he's driving this country off a cliff, it's possible that the lack-of-wmd fiasco is not his administration's fault. 3. evidence is mounting that the events of september 11th 2001 were a result of several massive intelligence failures. 4. am i really to believe that it's just a coincidence that the two most horrific events of recent american memory (september 11th and the war in iraq) happened during the shrub's presidency? that all of a sudden the intelligence apparatus of this country has failed? that the lack of major disasters during previous recent presidencies was just luck? vote the miserable failure out of office. take back your country.
