hanging out with john

went down to delaware last night to spend some time with john. we went to a thrift store in newark to look for orange clothes for my halloween costume (gonna be a traffic cone). didn't find any. then went to a lovely dinner at the italian bistro. yum! walked down to the student union to play some pool. it was an incredible evening, weather wise. 80 degrees (in late october! in eastern north dakota they got 11 inches yesterday!). beautiful.

the hanging out bit was fine. normal interactions. i told him about karl, finally, as we were walking back from pool. he asked the same questions i asked about heather: name, age, location, job, how'd we meet. he said he was glad i was seeing someone, because he worried a bit after my reaction to his news about heather. yeah. he and heather are still together. doing great, he says.

you know, i don't even remember what it's like to kiss him. there was a time when we were in love, and now, i can't even recall what it's like to kiss him.

he's taller than i remember (maybe because karl's shorter than him?). he's still got a nice body--broad shoulders, strong biceps, thin waist... nicer body than karl's. then again, he does have The Nose. he's italian, ethnically, and has a Very Large Nose. a nicely shaped nose, granted. it's just very large. karl has a nicer nose. hair too. john's hair is wirycurly--it fros out if he let's it get too long. it is not good hair to run ones fingers through. karl's is. so i've obviously been comparing him to karl alot, and they each have their good points.

i don't know how to feel about having nearly married john. i was SO CLOSE to him, and now i'm not. it hurts. c'est la vie i suppose.
