mother's day

everyone else is writing a mother's day entry, and i am ever of the pack mentality, so here ya go:

this mother's day, i did not see my mother. dad took her out for lunch and she spent the rest of the day on the back porch, reading. sounds good to me, though i was jealous of all the mothers and daughters i saw around the city. i made her a mix cd and sent a card, though i sent them too late to arrive saturday, so they arrived monday. ah well.

i asked mom what she wanted on her mix cd. she sent the following list: celine dion, faith hill, leann rimes, backstreet boys, abba, and whitney houston. that list makes me want to poke out my eardrums. but i made it and she loved it.
