alRIGHT already! enough! (remember that band, enuff z'nuff? heh heh.) this morning, i discovered my car broken into AGAIN! third time in 5 months. for those of you who are thinking, "yeah, but you drive a pimpin' gold caddy with lots of chrome so you gotta be 'spectin that yo," you best be thinking again. me? i drive a 1987 white/rust 4-door honda accord. 16 years old. 175,000 miles. missing a hubcap, for that lux ghetto look.

they break in, they rummage around, they don't find anything to steal (their choices: snow scraper, map of philly, old newspaper, old chapstick, cassette head cleaner, broken sunglasses, really nice but several years out of date cd changer), they leave.

notice to vandals: (1) they ain't nuthin worth nickin. (2) you've checked three times now, there really isn't anything--if there had been, it would've been stolen two break-ins ago. (3) if you MUST break a window, would you mind breaking a different one? that one has been replaced very recently, and i have other windows that are scratched. if i'm going to have to get the insurance company to replace windows, i could at least get a whole new set of scratch-free glass out of the deal, k? (4)dudes, for real now, stop breaking my glass.

i mean, it's not really that big a deal for me, since i learned years ago that if i was gonna be living in the ghetto i'd need a zero deductable on vandalism stuff. but it takes time, and i have to keep cleaning up the glass, and today i had to fight with the glass company to get them to order and pay for a rubber seal that goes around my window glass (part 19) that they sliced when they replaced my glass in november (two break-ins ago).
