karl and i spend sunday and monday in ocean city new jersey. home of the butt short and guido's younger brother (ocean city is a "family resort"). we stayed at the econo lodge in somer's point (on the mainland just over the bridge from ocean city). we ate pizza and blizzards, drank iced tea and strawberry cream soda. we played frisbee, applied sunblock, and went in the ocean up to our ankles (it's COLD in the atlantic ocean).

in other news, beach vacation number two is approaching swiftly. remember? we're going to tenerife? cool. i've asked evan to feed the guinea pig and water the plants. i offered to pay him $50 (he'd have to come over 5 times), and of course grant him unlimited access to the big tv/dvd/tivo set up, the ever-expanding liquor cabinet (really, the top of the kitchen cabinets), and the nail polish collection. he turned down the cash, saying "there's no need for cash, beer is the only currency i recognize." how much to i love him??? now, all i've got beer-wise just now is 4 coronas left over from the sangria party (when ryan brought coronas because apparently, he's not so much a fan of the sangria.) i asked ev what he wanted, and he said corona was fine. so i could just buy a case of corona (here in pennsylvania, you have to buy beer from a beer distributor, and they only sell it by the case. actually, i lie. you can buy 6-packs, but only from little corner store kinds of places, and they way overcharge, so you pay like $10 for 6 beers. so i usually suck it up and go to the beer distributor, but then you are stuck with 2 dozen beers of all the same kind. so you have to like what you get. you know?) and there's nothing wrong with a case of corona, except that i dunno, do i really want to be drinking a whole case of corona? when we could buy some really good beer? like, for instance, yards or wild goose. enh, whatever. maybe i'll just buy $50 worth of beer (what, 2 cases of good beer, or 3 cases of so-so beer?) and let him have his way with it (wench beer. have your way with her!)
