gah. too busy too busy. but whatev, here's the what what, in disjointed paragraph format.
skiing. what can i say? it was loffly. in boulder, it was sunny and 50. in steamboat it was sunny and 21, with packed powder and skies bluer than i could dream about. (the sky at 10,000 ft is a different color than the sky at sea level, it really is). we skied, we aprs skied, we had impossibly sophisticated moments of sitting on the sofa in our slopeside condo, reading the New Yorker and drinking a nice Ctes du Rhne. 'course, these were tempered by the moments when we were sitting on the couch eating sausage pizza and drinking coors light, watching cliffhanger. you can't win 'em all. in toenail news, the first day it was hurting and i feared for my second day skiing but then i was told that perhas i needed to tighten the middle two buckles on my boots, pulling my heel back in my boot. i did, and it was better. the damage, however, may have been done. stay tuned to find out.
post-skiing, we adjourned to philly where the car is still not working. also, i balanced my checkbook last night to find that i have, wait for it, $3.48. til the 29th, which is payday. me, not so much affording a new car.

whoo! off to steamboat to ski tomorrow! whoo! let's say it again! whoo!
but can i please have a group fingers-crossed that this is not the third year in a row with a blackened falling off toenail? that would be a nice change.
