at her possibly last day at the barn, the puppy enjoyed snow. yes, we have snow. though now, at least in the city, it is mostly rain. rrrg. anyway, puppy was in a nirvana state at the sight! the touch! of snow! she bounded full speed down a hill, then came to a screeching (well, not really, as she is a dog and does not need to be oiled) halt with her nose down in the snow, so it piled up all around her face. then she'd stand up and shake it off but be left with a snow moustache. man, to have the zest for life that puppies do... then we played fetch with snowballs, which was all kinds of fun, especially when she got all confused as the snowball broke apart when it hit the ground. "where'd it go? i saw it. i swear, it was RIGHT HERE." she also likes to catch balls in her mouth without a bounce, if you toss them short distances. she was mighty surprised when she ended up with a faceful of snow. heh. silly puppy.

tonight is my baroque music ensemble concert. we're playing a cantata for soprano, flute, cello, and harpsichord by pepusch, "when loves soft passion." fabulously, it's still snowing, so i'll be carrying the cello (aka bigass heavy instrument) through the slush. happy happy joy joy. but being back playing is fun, especially since i've gotten my cello reglued (it had to big separations of the ribs from the front and back at the bottom near the endpin. i hadn't even noticed until several weeks ago, but got it reglued by a local violin maker, and now my cello sounds aMAZing.)
