karl: still around
health update

so i haven't updated in a while because i've been having a lot of sex. so there.

i like karl. he's interesting, mostly. and attractive. and godijustMELT at his accent (yah, i know. cliche. an american girl who loves a british accent. so sue me.) so, with the huge disclaimer that i DO like him, and that i have a good time when i'm with him, and the sex is good (not the best i've had, but good), let me complain *just a little.*

he does not seem to have strong ambitions/motivations. i do. i SO do. i often get the answer "i dunno" (actually, more of a shrug and non-phonemic, prosodic version of 'i dunno,' but that's hard to put in writing). i don't like getting the answer "i dunno." i want him to have preferences and opinions. now, on the one hand, i could say that he's laid back and easy-to-please. all good. i could also say, however, that he's not got a will of his own (of course, that't not true, he does have opinions on a great number of things, i'm just exaggerating for effect.) we'll see if i settle on one side or the other on this issue. [and yes, i do realize that if he had many strong opinions, i might be writing this entry about how i wished he was more easy going. grass is always greener, yada yada yada.]

complaint #2 is that he is perhaps a touch more inhibited in bed that i would ideally like. don't get me wrong, he's good at what he does [nudge nudge wink wink], but he says he's never (for example) cum from a blow/hand job. hm. i do so *enjoy* giving blow jobs especially. i'll see if i can convince him/train his body to like them. again, we shall see how this turns out.

generally, though, i quite like him.

so about my health. a couple of entries ago, i mentioned how my period was really late. update: still late. closing very quickly in on an entire month late. that is, i should've started bleeding on 6 september, and you'll note that it is now 2 october. nearly a month. as i said before, i don't think there's any chance i'm pregnant, but i've been bullied by laura into taking a pregnancy test. if i've got time to stop by the store tonight, i'll take it tonight. bleh. anyway, the last couple of weeks have also found me feeling generally light-headed. i get a headrush almost every time i stand up. now, i like the feeling of a headrush, but it's wearing thin. this morning i was at the gym, and after running for .5 hours, i went to lift some weights, and felt so dizzy and light-headed that i couldn't. had to leave the gym. every once in a while, i find myself having to hold on to something to keep from falling over. not good. i've got low-ish blood pressure (usually btn 110/70 and 90/70, though it sometimes is as low as 90/60), which might explain my general tendency to have headrushes (and to be cold a lot), but this all-headrush-all-the-time thing is a new phenomenon. yeah yeah yeah, i've already made the doctor's appt that you'll tell me i should make--monday afternoon. i needed an annual exam anyway, and i also want to go back on the pill, so i was planning on going anyway, but now i can ask about these two health issues as well. so, check back next week for the update.
