flower update:

my favorite flowering trees, the "pink puffball trees" have been blooming for almost 2 weeks now. no idea what they're really called, and i'll have to find a photo later.

dogwoods, lilacs, and irises are just coming into bloom.

today, i visit the margin man (at Penn, we are apparently too modern for the traditional margin lady).

yesterday, i got another job offer for the foreign service. third time's a charm, and i accepted. class starts monday june 26!

i kinda don't know what to do with myself. i've spent SO LONG either working on the diss or avoiding working on the diss that i have no idea how to fill up the hours now. logically, there are lots of things i could do--read a book, dust off my cello and play a bit, exercise, house maintenance... but for some reason i can't quite get started. so, i just end up here.
